Bridge House Vet Clinic

Very disappointing and distressing experience. We brought our five-month-old puppy, Bonnie, to the clinic because she had diarrhea and blood in her stool. She was given a vaccination without our knowledge or consent, despite her next dose not being due until June 2027. The vaccine also appeared to be more than three months past its expiry date. Bonnie became extremely lethargic, drowsy and unsteady afterwards and required emergency overnight veterinary care, which cost €480. We submitted a formal complaint on 13 September but have not received an acknowledgement or response. We are still waiting for a clear explanation.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE in this clinic!! Completely NEGLIGENCE!!!! During the appointment, Dr Chris examined my 5 month old puppy and advised us that she had worms and required deworming treatment. He then gave an injection and administered a deworming tablet. We later discovered that the injection was a VACCINATION! This vaccine was not supposed to be done until next year!! No clear explanation was given as! Dr Chris did it by mistake!!!! Of even greater concern, THE VACCINE has been more than three months PAST ITS EXPIRY DATE!! Because of the seriousness of my puppy condition after injection, we immediately travelled to an emergency veterinary clinic. Doctor advised us to leave the puppy overnight for monitoring and treatment. Please AVOID THE BRIDGE HOUSE VETERINARY CLINIC!!!! Never again!!!!

Fabulous vets. The vets themselves are great with all our pets and the office staff are very pleasant and efficient. If you are looking for a vet in the Dundalk Co. Louth area, I would highly recommend Bridge House.

This is by far the most disgraceful and heartless veterinary clinic I have ever encountered. When our dog’s life was in immediate danger after swallowing a very large bone during a walk, we rushed here desperately for help. Instead of showing compassion or fulfilling the duty of care that any veterinary professional should have, they coldly refused to see our dog simply because we were not their “registered clients.” While every minute mattered, they turned us away without the slightest concern for the fact that this was a life-or-death emergency. Sadly, our beloved dog passed away because of their complete lack of humanity, professionalism, and responsibility. A veterinary clinic is supposed to save lives and show empathy, but what we experienced here was the opposite — indifference, arrogance, and a total disregard for the life of an animal in need. The staff should be ashamed. If you love your pets, avoid this place at all costs. They failed us in the worst possible way, and I hope no one else has to experience such cruelty and negligence
